About the Role:
If you can turn a one-line brief into a hook people remember, this role is for you. At Social Pill, you will come up with ideas and write the words behind them: campaign concepts, taglines, reel scripts, and social-first content for a mix of brands. The pace is fast, the client mix is varied, and the opportunity is real: writing that shapes how audiences see a brand. You'll work closely with designers, the video team, and account managers, from first idea to final post.
Key Responsibilities:
Ideas & Concepts
- Develop campaign ideas, taglines, and content concepts from client briefs.
- Pitch ideas to the creative and account teams, and refine them with feedback.
- Stay on top of trends, formats, and cultural moments that can work for our brands.
Copywriting
- Write captions, hooks, ad copy, website copy, and email content in each brand's tone of voice.
- Write scripts for reels, videos, and explainers.
- Proofread and edit all copy to a client-ready standard.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partner with designers and video editors to bring ideas to life.
- Work with account managers to meet briefs, timelines, and client feedback.
- Turn around revisions quickly without losing quality.
Workflow
- Keep copy documents, content calendars, and versions organised.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in an agency or brand team.
- A portfolio that shows range and original ideas. We value this more than your resume.
- Strong written English, with the ability to adapt tone across brands.
- Good understanding of social media platforms and what makes content work on them.
- Basic SEO and ad copy knowledge is a plus.
- Experience writing video scripts is a plus.
- Organised, open to feedback, and able to handle multiple briefs at once.
